Uncle Sonny (Uncle )

I visited Winnipeg many, many summers as a child and my memories of Uncle Sonny were ones of pure joy. My uncle was always smiling bubbly and he could hardly wait to take a shot at my nick name bubbles/ a little bit of a teaser and joke stir for sure. Not many called me Bubbles, but he sure did and his affectionate labelling said a lot. He was quite a wonderful person, never a negative comment came out of his mouth that I can remember and if it did, the person darn well deserved it. Watching his battle with Parkinsons, and realizing he was alive inside a machine that wasn't working with him kept me in ahh. He was strong, determined to embrace what was dealt to him. I love him and will dearly miss him. Love Bubbles

Well I am so sorry for your loss Doreen and family. It was so great to have had the pleasure in looking after Mo when you guys came out for the summer. Mo was a wonderful man and always had a smile on his face when I would come and look after him. We would watch some good old TV shows and read the paper and if the weather was good we would go outside for a walk. Well you take care Doreen! I will miss not coming to work for you guys over the summer! You guys were the best!!! LOVE : JANNA

While I have had the distinct pleasure of meeting many countless friends in my life, I have never ever had a friend like Moe. He was the truest, kindest, most compassionate and entrusting man that existed in our world. We shared a loving trusting bond that will never be replicated. I learned so much from my mentor. The countless hours, days, evenings….every moment was an experience of fun, sillyness and tudoring. His kind, loving disposition to his pets and to people (in that order) was one of envy to all of those that knew him. Moe’s humour never faded. Our conversations always contained updates on our cats, our families, friends and a joke that some would consider sick and twisted. While this wicked disease was so difficult for Moe, he was blessed with the continual 24/7 care that no patient anywhere could be so blessed to have. Doreen, we all love you for your endless love and devotion to Moe. It is time for you to take a break wonderful lady. I know this would be Moe’s wish. You have been a god-send during this most difficult time. Its hard to imagine life without you Moe … the many memories however will keep you very much alive in our minds. “go rest high on that mountain my dear friend … your time for rest has come” Sincerest Condolences to Doreen, Wendy, Dwayne, Ryan, Kenny and the large beautiful Rosaasen family. Lindy and Adeline
