It is with great sadness that the family of Nancy Senkow announce her passing on October 4, 2024. Nancy was born December 11, 1936. She was the youngest of 11 children and the last surviving child of Ann (Dickie) and Micheal Senkow. She is predeceased by her parents and brothers and sisters.

Sisters – Teenie, Edith, Rose, Sally, Olga and Kay. Brothers – Bill, Steve, Peter and Johnny.

Nancy led a full life. She was born in Skylake, lived in St Adolf, Dauphin, Toronto, Winnipeg. Ste. Anne, Selkirk and Arborge.

Her life was quite an adventure. Nancy had a million Dollar Smile! A great sense of humor, and was a very giving person. She was a free spirit, and not afraid to try something new, or move to a new place. Although she did not have children, she loved her nieces, and nephews. She often talked of her goddaughter Carol, and Helen.

Nancy was a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in Ontario, and worked at various secretarial positions in Manitoba. Her last job before retiring was at to Bucyrus Blades of Canada  in Steinback, Manitoba.

Nancy Could speak 3 languages. Ukrainian, French, and English. Living in St Adolf she would accompany her father to town to translate for him, and help barter his purchases. She was very proud of this, and was happy she could help her parents. She missed her family dearly. She was very close to her brother Johnny as they were the two youngest of the family. She would often mention her mother, and how much she missed her.

Our Dear Aunty Nancy you will be missed. We take comfort in the knowledge you have joined your parents, brothers, and sisters.

A special thanks to Father Mykhailo Postoliuk, Eva M., and the staff at Charity Road, River East PCH.

Cremation has taken place. In keeping with Nancy’s wishes there will be no service, and her ashes are to be spread by family.
