Obituaries

                                                                      NOBU ELLIS         Nobu Ellis passed away on September 30, 2016.         Her husband Kenneth A. Ellis passed away in June 2008. She is survived by her brother Akio Sato (Mari). She was predeceased by her sister, Amie Roller (John) of Orangeville, Ontario in April 2009.         Nobu a was registered medical technologist, worked at the Winnipeg General Hospital in the Cytology Department. Latterly she was employed at the Red River Community College in the Health Science Department, retired after twenty years’ service. She was a member of Broadway-First Baptist Church.          Her retirement years kept her very busy at the Manitoba Japanese Canadian Citizens Association, Manitoba Japanese Canadian Cultural Centre and the Horizon Club. She and her husband were strong supporters of the Gilbert and Sullivan Society of Winnipeg.
