NORMAN JOHN FAULKNER
November 23, 1925 – November 28, 2016
Peacefully, on Monday, November 28, 2016, Norman Faulkner passed away at Charleswood Personnel Care Home, at the age of 91 years.      Norman was raised in Charleswood with his younger brothers Ted and Stan. They lived on Charleswood Road. Norman was a returning Army Veteran from World War lI and was a long time valued employee of the Hudson Bay Company. Norman was an avid golfer and a member of the St. Boniface Golf Course where many friendships were made there over the years. Winters were spent golfing at Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. He also enjoyed curling at the Pembina Curling Club. When Norm’s curling days were over, he and his buddies then joined a bowling league. Norman was a passionate fan of the Toronto Blue Jays. He enjoyed watching the Masters and the British Open. He enjoyed solving the Jumble in The Winnipeg Free Press, even winning the contest a few times.      Left to cherish Norman’s memory are his brothers, Ted and Stan; nephew Mike; niece Patty and her daughters, Elizabeth (husband Paul and son Jake) and Debbie (husband Bill and children, Campbell, Sam and Sophie); nephew Dave (wife Jenny and sons, Max and Sam); his cousin Barbara Bellingham; as well as nieces in British Columbia, Joan Lee and Lynn Gordon-Ayles. He was predeceased by his wife, Eleanor (Lally) of 66 years of marriage in 2015 and by a sister-in-law Lee Black.        In compliance with Norman’s wishes no formal Funeral Service will be held.       Our family would like to thank the staff at Charleswood Personal Care Home for all their care and compassion.       In lieu of flowers, donations in Norman’s name to a charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated.        Wojcik’s Funeral Chapels & Crematoriums, Winnipeg, 2157 Portage Avenue, 204.897.4665 www.wojciksfuneralchapel.com
