NORMAN ALAN HARRISON

Norman Alan Harrison, passed peacefully away on Friday, May 1, 2015 aged 69 years at St. Boniface Hospital with his family by his side, after a lengthy illness.
Left to mourn Norman are his wife of 46 years Carol; sons, Peter Harrison (Steve) and Michael Harrison (Marlene); grandchildren, Alyssa, Brennan, Darby; daughter Louise Pearce (Jason); as well as grandchildren, Claudia, Jaiden and Joshua. He was predeceased by his parents, Sydney and Edna Harrison.
Norman was born in Derby, England on March 24, 1946. After completion of his education obtaining his City and Guilds in Engineering (known as a Machinist in Canada), he worked at British Rail, and Rolls Royce Development before immigrating to Canada in 1980 with his family. Norman was employed at Midwest Drilling for ten years and Standard Aero for 25 years prior to his retirement.
A Memorial Service for Norman will be held on Saturday, May 23, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. in Sturgeon Creek United Church, 207 Thompson Drive, St. James, with a reception to follow. His remains will be returned to his homeland in England.
