Norman John Matthews
“Stormin’ Norman”
June 18, 1932 – August 27, 2025

With love and gratitude, we announce the peaceful passing of Norman John Matthews on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, in Winnipeg, Manitoba, surrounded by his devoted daughters.

Affectionately known as “Stormin’ Norman,” he will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his daughters Colleen, Karen (Chris), and Shelley (Craig); his grandchildren Jordan (June), Riley (Olivia), Tanner (Christine), Spencer (Tania), and Carson; and his great-grandchildren Conor, Grace, Jack, Scarlette, Wesley and Ruby.

Norman was predeceased by his beloved wife, Wanda, with whom he shared a lifetime of love, laughter, and adventure.

A man of many talents, Norm was a gifted oil painter whose works are proudly displayed in the homes of family and friends — lasting reminders of his creativity and generous spirit.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, September 3rd -4pm at Cathedrale Manor, 321 de la Cathedrale Ave, where Norm and Wanda spent many cherished years.

The family extends heartfelt thanks to the dedicated staff at Cathedrale Manor and Golden Links Lodge, whose kindness and care made Norm feel truly at home.
