Thoughts and prayers are with you all as you celebrate your Dad. We have so many wonderful memories of times spent together in Lakeshore Heights. I’ll always remember your Dad sailing in his yellow sailboat on Lake Winnipeg. May he sail freely and far. May the Lord bless you with His peace and comfort. Michelle and Roger Orieux

I've been remembering Uncle Norm with great love and affection these past few days. Throughout my entire life, he was a key figure at extended family gatherings, many of which were enjoyed at Lakeshore Heights or on Glengarry Drive. From his signature cheesecakes and tourtières, to his passion as an early adoptor of the latest technology, like the 8mm camera or "colour TV" (remember the color wheel!?) and onward to computers and AI, Uncle Norm was a man of many interests and hobbies. We shared a love for "cozy" murder mysteries and enjoyed recommending books and TV series to each other. He will be remembered always for his love of family - his girls and grandsons and great-grandbabies! He was a very proud poppa... and dare I say, uncle! 💗 From our family to yours, Phil and I send our love and prayers for "peace that passes understanding". -Deb Kernghan

We have so many fond memories of Uncle Norm. He was a real inspiration to me as a young boy. Not many of my aunts and uncles would actually show interest in who I was.. But Uncle Norma did. He was always there to share his insights into how he would suggest I manage a situation. This was due to his very strong analytical abilities. No question he was very well read, and well spoken . At times intolerant of those individuals that simply did not register or communicate a basic understanding of a subject of interest to him. He certainly loved lovely wife Aunt Wanda and his three amazing daughters. He was very proud of each of them and their respective accomplishments'. And he certainly loved his grandsons, no question! Needless to say, he will be missed by all of us that had the opportunity to know him! With love to all, Elaine & Robert McCaughey

Uncle Norm was a very special man. He wrote books, very interesting ones at that, think I read most of them. He did scuptures and painted. I was visiting Colleen when they lived,in Kitchener. Norm was working on this painting, I think it was one of his first, that I really loved. Kept saying that I wanted that for our house. He laughed and said I would have to fight with Shelley about that. Going back to the days at the cottage, the kids playing games and Norm reading his books. Those were the days, simpler times and families. We will miss his laugh, smile and presence. May flight of angels take Norm to his rest. Gail, Loyd, and Ryan

Our deepest condolences to the family. I spent a lot of time at the Glengary home and one story I will never forget (sorry Karen). Norm came home from work and sitting in the living room Karen gave him her school list. As Norm kept chatting Karen was rather upset and accused her dad of not reading the list. In his incredible style and delivery Norm recited everything on that list in order. A life well lived, a person well loved and a person of great humor and generosity Les&Sherrie Trojanoski
