OLGA MARIE SLOBODIAN
June 22, 1937 – December 10, 2022

Peacefully, with her daughter by her side, Mom left this world knowing she was loved by her family and friends.

Mom is survived by her daughter, Paula Havixbeck, grandsons, Nick Havixbeck (Rowan Shwaluk) and Adrian Havixbeck of Winnipeg, brother John (Valerie) Zuk of Peachland, BC and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her daughter Maria; husband Orest, and parents Nicholas and Pearl Zuk.

Mom overcame many health obstacles but kept going with determination. She embraced hosting dinners, contributing her time in the UCWL as a member for many years and cherished the many special times with her grandsons.

Mom grew up in Regina where she trained as a lab technologist. She worked at St. Boniface Hospital and later worked with Dad in the family business.

Mom enjoyed her grandsons immensely and attended music concerts and the occasional hockey game. When Mom’s health was failing particularly in the last year, she was very grateful her grandsons visited her frequently.

Mom’s kind spirit and strength touched everyone and we will miss her.

Funeral and reception Friday, December 16 at 11:00 am at St. Nicholas Church, 737 Bannerman Ave. Interment at a later date.
