PATRICIA BERNICE MANTON With great sorrow and sadness, we say goodbye to our Mother and Grandmother Patricia Bernice Manton-Jackson (Wieb) on Monday, January 6, 2014 at the age of 82 years. Left to survive Patricia are her daughter Diana and Waverly; granddaughter Courtney; son David and Aileen; grandchildren Stevie, Jordan and Brandyn; sister Lillian and Lionel Callow; brothers Dan and Dorothy Wieb, George and Joyce Wieb; and many nieces; nephews and friends. She was predeceased by her father Daniel Wieb; mother Florence May Wieb (Earl); husband Richard Joseph Manton; second husband George Kenneth Jackson. Mom enjoyed travelling with family and friends. She was an avid reader and liked writing short stories. She spent her summers at the cottage at Lester Beach, Manitoba where many fond memories were made with family and friends. Mom was always up for any adventure and she loved everyone she met through the years. She will be remembered for her sense of humour, sociability and willingness to help others. Our family would like to extend warm thanks to all the staff at St. Norbert Nursing Home for their love and care of Pat, especially these last two weeks. In keeping with mom’s wishes, a Celebration of her life will take place in early summer 2014.
