PATRICIA ANN PARKER
(nee ROBINSON)
1937 – 2016
Peacefully, after a prolonged creeping illness, Patricia (Pat) passed away on Wednesday, February 10, 2016, at the Grace Hospital with her husband of 57 years by her side. Pat was 78 years of age at the time of her passing and had lived in Winnipeg for all but two years since arriving in 1967.Pat is survived by her husband Richard, son Brian (Laurie), daughter Angela and grandchildren Catherine and Peter, also younger sisters Jean and Enid and their families, and brother-in-law David (Sharyn) and families in New Zealand. Special friend Christie Acheson (Kyle) and their girls Kaitlyn, Haley, Kylie and Madyson round out the list. Predeceased were Pat’s brothers Christopher and Peter, parents Arthur and Edith Robinson and most sadly son Colin in 2000.Winter was not Pat’s favourite season but she did enjoy a walk around the duck pond, where the footpaths were swept, and needlework projects at home.Summer was a time for camping and travelling with family, including flying and driving trips to all of the Provinces and Territories as well as the United States, and overseas trips to the UK, Australia, Singapore and New Zealand.A celebration of Pat’s life will be held on Saturday, March 12, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. in ANAVETS Unit 283, 3584 Portage Avenue, Winnipeg, Manitoba. Inurnment will be held in Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens at a later date.The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and support staff at the Grace Hospital emergency room and Ward 1 South for their care and compassion during our difficult time.
