Patricia Wilson

June 4, 1940 - November 17, 2015

Patricia Jane Wilson (nee Sullivan) June 4, 1940 – November 17, 2015   On Tuesday, November 17, 2015, Mom went peacefully in her sleep as she wanted, after a brief battle with lung cancer, at the age of 75 years, at Riverview Health Centre. She had suffered for the past couple of years with Dementia as well. Left to remember Mom are her children, Jane (Ed), Robin (Sue), Pat (Jon), Kelli (Chuck) and Sharon (Bruce); grandchildren, Andy, Marina, Bradley, Kassandra, Janelle, Rebecca, DJ, Hailey, Travis, Brendan and Elyse; as well as four great-grandchildren; her brother David; sister Winnifred; and numerous nieces; nephews; relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her father, John; mother Agnes; her husband Andrew; and her brother Robert. Mom was born and raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba. She worked many years at Knit Rite Mills, then Woolco, Canadian Tire and the Dollar Store, where she made many friends. Mom spent summers with her family at Brereton Lake, Manitoba for many years and was a snow bird in Clearwater Beach, Florida with Dad when he retired. Patricia’s Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, November 21, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Memories in Wojcik’s Funeral Chapel, 1020 Main Street @ Manitoba Avenue, with Rev. Dr. Michael Wilson, presider. Interment will be held at a later date in Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, 4000 Portage Avenue, Winnipeg, MB, where she will be laid to rest with her husband Andy.
