Pauline Marie Catharine Herbert passed away peacefully with family by her side at the age of 81 years on Tuesday, September 16th, 2025.
She was born on June 6th, 1944 to Leonard Daoust and Exilda Hayes in Fort William, Ontario and later moved to Winnipeg where she spent the remainder of her life.
She is survived by her brother Paul (Lorna), daughters Debra (Roger), Pam (Albert) and Kim (Paul); grandchildren Nathan, Travis, Derrick, Jeffrey, Melissa, Jordan and Jasmine, along with ten great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
Pauline was predeceased by her beloved husband Al and twelve brothers and sisters.
Pauline dedicated her life to her family and can best be described as strong, resilient and above all self-less, always concerned about the well-being of others over her own.
The family would like to thank the wonderful staff of St. Boniface Hospital for their kindness and compassion.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory can be made to CancerCare Manitoba Foundation. A private gathering to honor her life will be set at a later date.
