Sorry to learn of Peter's passing. My name is John Merritt and my brother Mike and I knew Peter back in the early 50's. We lived on Jessie Ave in Fort Rouge and to make ends meet my parents took Peter in as a border. At that time I was about 3 years old around 1951 and Peter would take me to the fort Rouge yards to watch the trains. My earliest childhood memory is the day Peter took me and my dad thru the CN Fort Rouge roundhouse for a tour and seeing those huge steam loco's is a sight I will always remember and from that day on I never lost my love of trains and to this day am still an avid model railroader.
