RAYMOND JOHN (RAY) MCKENZIE
April 12, 1949 – October 22, 2025

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Raymond John (Ray) McKenzie, retired Sergeant of the Canadian Armed Forces, who passed away peacefully with family by his side at Tuxedo Villa on Wednesday, October 22, 2025.

Ray was a devoted husband to Margaret (née Alexander), a loving father to Leslie (Richard) and Raymond (Alyssa), and a proud Papa to Logan, Xander, Adrianna, and Tanner. He will also be deeply missed by his siblings Daniel, Paul, Anne, and Mark, as well as extended family and friends across the country.

Ray served his country proudly for 37 years. He was an x-ray technician who served with honour and dedication throughout his military career and carried that same sense of loyalty and strength into every aspect of his life. His kindness, humour, and quiet wisdom touched all who knew him.

A service to celebrate Ray’s life will take place this summer in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Soldier On or to a charity of your choice.
