To Dromereski family re: Richard Dromereski From: Gary and Jennie Styrchak We were saddened to read of Richard’s passing. Many years have passed since we had contact with your family – the last being at Murray’s memorial. But memories of our times with Bill and Olga at Winnipeg Beach have never dimmed. After our dad died in 1952 Bill and Olga invited us and mom Teenie, to spend some summer holidays with them. Mom would work with Olga at the restaurant while I remember spending time with Murray. Jennie, about six or seven at the time, still recalls the Amusement Park and in particular the view of the top of the Roller Coaster from the upstairs guest room at Olga’s. And, of course, treats at the restaurant from Olga. Sometimes Murray and I operated the potato peeling machine out back for the shop, cleaned the guest cabins and grounds beside the shop and on occasion Murray and I went with his father to work on the farm at Pleasant Home. It was a good time for us. I met Richard once more at Murray’s remembrance gathering. We spoke a short while and it brought back those memories almost forgotten. I thank Richard for bringing them back for us. We send you our condolences on your loss and wish you well.

Some of our best times were spent with Richard, Gail, Murray, Ellen, And Debbie on the beach south of the Water Tower. Boating, skiing, music(Charlie Pride) food and drinks. I still can close my eyes and hear Charlie Pride singing The snakes crawl at night, I played it and it brought tears to my eyes, such a wonderful memory. It is without a doubt that a good man passed away, Richard will be missed by those who loved him and by those that had the privilege of knowing him. RIP our friend.
