JOSEPH RICHARD STEPHEN FRASER
With very sad hearts we announce the passing of our dear husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend Richard (Dick) Fraser on April 21,2022 at St. Boniface Hospital at the age of 93. He is survived and lovingly remembered by his beloved wife Gladys, his children Denise (Darcy), Debra and Richard (Julie), his grandchildren Justin (Leslie), Shanda (Darin), Emily, Charlotte and Lorelei and great-grandson Jack. He is also survived by his brothers Marcel and Tony (Ivy Claire) and sisters Terry, Cecile (Edward) and Jeannette and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Dad loved his family and being together and gathering whether it was at home or at the cottage all were welcome. He liked nothing more than to share a meal with all food being good! Mom and Dad had the good fortune of 65 years together with many accomplishments and adventures along the way, from refurbishing an old school bus and travelling across Canada to building their own home and cottage or travelling to Las Vegas, Texas and Florida and of course the occasional trip to South Beach. Dad was a founding member of the Kinsmen Club of Charleswood where he made many lifelong friends. He was a long-time parishioner at Our Lady of Perpetual Help and a Knights of Columbus member.
Funeral mass will be held at Our Lady of Perpetual Help, 4588 Roblin Boulevard on Friday, May 13th at 11:00 and will be live streamed on YouTube at the www.olphwinnipeg.ca channel. Interment will take place at Assumption Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or Palliative Care, St. Boniface Hospital.
