Deal Karen, I‘m very sorry to read about your loss. Our path crossed in 1985 when I looked after Ashley-Jill and lived in your home. She won‘t remember me, but I hope you do. I carry good memories from those days, going for walks with Ashley-J. and Shivis and spending time with Rick and you. I remember Rick as very kind and helpfull. I send you my condolences and wish you and your Family all the best. Sonja Watson (Neumarkt, Germany)

Dear Ashley-Jill and Peter-James, I offer you my most sincere sympathies in the passing of your dear Dad. As a school counsellor at Vincent Massey Collegiate in the late 90's and early 2000's, I had the pleasure of working with Rick at Winnipeg Technical Centre. I just loved spending a bit of time in his creatively decorated office. A person just wanted to stay there! Your Dad related so very well with all students. He was encouraging and a good listener. A true gentleman! May the many memories of the time shared with him sustain you always. Blessings. Larry Gagné

My condolences to Ashley-Jill, Peter-James and rest of the Stepaniuk family. Your dad taught me Social Studies at Viscount Alexander in either 1978 or 1979 and he was an excellent teacher. He is only one of 3 teachers names that I remember from Junior High. I also wondered where you dad went after he left Viscount My Condolences Tom Tishinski

Was sadden to hear about the loss of your father Rick. I worked with Rick at Arthur A. Leach school for many years. We had many good times as a staff and Ricks planning of events for the staff socially became legend and are talked about today with Some of us old staff members now retired. He was a good friend, teacher and respected in his field. He will be missed. My condolences go out to his family.
