A small sample of the many wonderful poems Bob could write, for any occasion … in minutes. This was the poem for one Christmas newsletter while Principal at O.V. Jewitt. He had so much more inside him to make you laugh … that’s all he wanted … Happiness.

The truth is I could have written a whole page in tribute to Bob in the Free Press. So many people to Thank with heartfelt gratitude for everything, done in love and friendship. Especially, at this time though, I need to Thank our friend, Bob’s “brother from another mother” Mark Koslovsky. In my obituary for Bob, I failed to acknowledge Mark’s efforts, along with Bob, in founding the Seven Oaks Selects Gymnastics Club, so I am doing that now. Bob and Mark go way back - over 60 years. A long and important friendship with many, many memories. So many times out for lunch, dinner, throughout the years, and Mark ALWAYS picked up the tab, every time, with pleasure. He did it again, this past Friday, as a few of us gathered for lunch at PF Chang. Mark picked up the bill for everyone. There are no words to describe the Love and Respect, both Bob and I have for Mark. THANK YOU Mark for being there for me, every day available, at any time, as I strived to keep Bob safe and out of pain these last few difficult months. There are no words to describe what your friendship has meant. You have been and are a Blessing in “our” life, in “my” life. Thank you Mark from the bottom of my Heart. Morgan and I Love you, as did Bob very much … Always and Forever

I first met Bob at O. V. Jewitt. We were both young and energetic and wanting our students to have the best education and experiences. Bob was an amazing phys Ed teacher. One of the best. Our paths crossed again at Elwick when he became my vice principal. I have had the personal pleasure of watching his professional growth and witnessing his many contributions to education in the Seven Oaks School Division. My heart goes out to you Ceci and the family( especially the girls). My deepest sympathies. Love, Edie Wilde

Mr Mac my heart is broken!! From the first day you took my hand and walked me to school in kindergarten to the days of being my favourite gymnastics coach, your kindness, your quiet fortitude and your big heart. You left a lasting impression and I am grateful for having known you!! You were and will always be one of the kindest and caring persons I will ever have had the privilege of knowing by touching my life In so many positive ways. You will be fondly remembered Mr MacIntosh, thank you for the lessons you taught me. Lovingly remembered Lori McIvor ( Kavanagh )
