Rodney Joseph (Rod) Fortin, of Winnipeg, Manitoba, passed away tragically on Saturday, October 28, 2017 in Winnipeg at the age of 47 years. Left to survive Rod are his mother, Dolly Fortin; sisters, Holly (Mike), Rebecca (Allan), and Jill (Jeff); as well as by nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. He was predeceased by his father, Charlie Fortin. On January 21, 1970 Rodney was born in Dauphin, Manitoba to Charlie and Dolly Fortin. He went to high school at St. James Colligate. He worked many different jobs throughout his life. He enjoyed spending time with his friends. Rodney’s Funeral Service will be held on Friday, November 3, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. in Wojcik’s Funeral Chapel, 1020 Main Street @ Manitoba Avenue. A private family interment will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to the Siloam Mission in Rodney’s name.
