RONALD JOHN DRAPACK

Ron put up a good fight, but after a yearlong battle with mesothelioma, he passed away Saturday, December 21, 2024 at Riverview Health Centre.

Ron is survived by his wife of 60 years Joanne, sons Michael and Ryan (Iryna), daughter Aynslie (Paul), sister Peggy and grandkids Jessica, Laura and Marisa, nephew and nieces John, Kim, and Maeve and cousins Eleanor, Joel and Donny. As well as Joanne’s neice Nicole (Brent).

He is predeceased by his older brother Jack.

Ron began his career as a printer at the Winnipeg Free Press, eventually going into business with his wife. Ron was a member of the Manitoba Hotel Association.

The family wishes to thank the staff at Riverview for making Ron`s last weeks as comfortable as possible. Joanne wishes to sincerely thank all of their friends and family for their support during Ron`s illness, especially John and Shirley. Special thanks to Peggy.

Flowers are nice, but a donation to Cancer Care would be appreciated, if so desired.

Ron was cremated as per his wishes. A Celebration of Life will follow.
