So sorry to hear of Ron's passing. We were roommates for a time in the early 1960s when we both worked as copy boys at the Winnipeg Free Press. We shared an apartment in a four-floor walkup on Ellice Avenue, less than a block from the Free Press. I went on to become a reporter. Ron left the paper and, if memory serves, took a job in security at Polo Park. I left Winnipeg for Calgary in 1965 and subsequently lost touch with Ron.
