ROSE STEINHILBER

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Rose Steinhilber, beloved wife of Werner Steinhilber on Thursday, April 16, 2015 at St. Joseph?s Residence.
Left to cherish Rose?s memory are three children, Wilf (Sabrina), Bernie (Jo-Ann), and Doreen (Brian) Szydlik; eight grandchildren Ryan, Brent (Kayli), Jennifer, Brittany (Alex), Kevin (Stacey), Angelica (Kodie), Alanna, and Jordan, and a great Oma to Jackson. She was predeceased by her Mom; Dad and twelve siblings.
Born and raised in Easy Germany, Rose moved to Canada in 1950. She married the love of her life in 1954. Rose and Werner had their 60th anniversary last year. They were very involved in the Rowandale Baptist Church community. Rose worked at Goline, sewing for several years and then worked at Zellers until retirement. She enjoyed many weekends and holidays with her husband and family at their Long Lake cabin.
Rose enjoyed her dog Krisy before moving to St. Joseph?s Residence for her last two years dealing with diabetes and dementia. We would like to thank the staff at St. Joseph?s for their compassionate care throughout her stay.
On Wednesday April 22, 2015 Rose?s Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. in Rowandale Baptist Church, 162 Rowandale Avenue. Interment will follow in Brookside Cemetery, 3001 Notre Dame Avenue.
