Rose Glowach

April 18, 1933 - November 20, 2015

Rose Glowach (nee Montanti)     After a brief illness, Rose Glowach (nee Montanti) of Winnipeg, Manitoba, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 20, 2015, at the age of 82 years, in her home with family and friends by her side.  Born on April 18, 1933 in Winnipeg, Rose is survived by her devoted husband of 57 years, Steve; sons Chris (Lynn) and Michael; grandchildren Nick (Kim), Jennifer, Ryan and Bryce; great-granddaughter Emberlee; as well as niece and nephews Carol (John), Bob, David (Stephanie), Randy (Sue), Gerry (Carol) and Marty (Lori). She was predeceased by her parents Alfred and Mary; brothers and sister Lou, Ben and Irma; and her beloved daughter Cindy. Rose loved playing softball, a good bowler and enjoyed completing crossword puzzles. She was a very kind person and would do anything for her friends and family. She always enjoyed socializing at her bi-weekly outings to the seniors group at the local contingency office and at Victoria Community Club in Fort Garry. Funeral Mass will be Celebrated on Saturday, December 12, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in Our Lady of Victory Roman Catholic Church, 254 Arnold Avenue, with Rev. Fr. Wayne Morrissey, presiding. Interment will be held at a later date in St. Mary’s Cemetery, 520 Osborne Street, Winnipeg, MB. We would like to thank the CancerCare staff and the nurses at the Palliative care program, especially Lana who cared for Rose during her illness allowing her to stay at home where she was more comfortable. We would also like to thank the many friends and neighbours for their generosity and support during and after Rose’s illness. A special thanks to Loraine Roth and her family for all the support during this time.
