I remember Sally as the beautiful lady married to a police officer who lived down the street from us on Frederica Street in what was then Fort William Ontario. She and Rob were friends of my parents Ada and Vic Backman. We moved from there when I was 11 and never heard any more about her except my mom would say she received a card from her at Christmas. After my mom passed away 3 years ago in August my dad who is almost 98 passed me a card from Sally and asked if I wanted to do anything with it. I wrote her back to tell her my mom had passed and what was going on with my dad and my life as well as my siblings. I received a lovely letter back and so the correspondence began for the last 3 years. I really enjoyed her letters and pictures she sent on her, Rob and my mom and dad on picnics (although they were very tiny in those days and she asked me to send them back if I didn't have copies.) I am so sorry to hear of her passing as I said I remember she was such a beautiful lady and her letters certainly attested to that. My sincere condolences to all her family and friends that were like family. Pam Ward
