I and my three daughters lived on the south peace colony as a neighbor, Peter Tschetter and family took us in, lived on the separate parcel of land, but was twined with the colony, Mike and Sarah Hofer, and the senior, Peter and Mary Hofer, we knew very well, love the colony and the people, they are very genuine, and they still visit my home in Dawson Creek, where I now live, we have heard and read about the junior Sam Hofer, gentle prayers be with the family,

Sam was always a pleasure to have conversation with over a cup of coffee. He was a man with an 'easy-going' personality. Sam will definitely be a great asset in the age to come.

We will always treasure the memories of the good times we shared in the past. Losing a loved one is a sad reality of this life, but our strength lies in our faith of a happy reunion one day.
