SHANE MICHAEL NIXON
August 15, 1969 – December 14, 2023

It is with great sadness we announce the tragic and sudden passing of our loving Son, Brother, and Dad on Thursday December 14, 2023.

Left to cherish is memories are his Mother Sandra, Stepfather Gary, his son Kevin (his mother Jennifer Anderson), his sisters Arlee (Rob)Snitowski and daughters Ashley and Jessica, Lesley and her children Elisha, Paige and Tommy, along with his half-sister Roxanne Hudson and his Auntie Cheryl Gurney. Shane had some very special cousins in his life, Nathon Harrison, Heather Sobie, Charlotte (Rob) VanderGraaf and daughter Kendra, Karl Harrison, and a special nephew Jayden Nixon.

Shane was predeceased by his Grandparents Jim McKimmie and May Pauwels, Abby and Isabel Nixon his Aunty Karen Harrison and his cousin Dale Gurney.

For anyone that new Shane knew he lived life on the edge and always took risks but more than anything Shane loved his family and his son Kevin and his furry friend Dexter more than anything. He was a protector and would do anything when it came to his family. He enjoyed a good Whiskey along with many laughs and enjoyed quality time with his friends.

In early 2023 Shane made a decision to go to Thailand. Thailand was an amazing place and Shane loved it there, he loved the culture and the tropical climate and was living out a dream he had. While in Thailand Shane met the love of his life Anarauk (Kung) and they married in November 18, 2023. He was so happy and was so in love with her. Tragically both him and his wife were taken from us way too soon on Dec 14. It gives us comfort that they will both be together forever.

We love you so much Shane, you will be missed so much but you will remain in our hearts forever and will never be forgotten.

Rest Easy my brother until we meet again.

Cremation has already taken place. A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday January 18th 2024 at Wojcik’s Funeral Chapel 2157 Portage Ave at 1:30pm.
