After a lengthy illness, it is with deep regret that we announce the death of Sharon Elizabeth Bashura, on Saturday, June 17, 2017, peacefully at home at the age of 73 years. Sharon is survived by her beloved husband of 52 years, Gerald William Bashura; daughter Teresa; son Andrew; daughter Tanya; grandson Draven Kroeker; brothers Bruce Byers, Grant Byers and her sister Dawn Sutherland. She was predeceased by her parents Edward and Viola Byers. For over 30 years, Sharon had been a registered nurse at the Misercordia Hospital and retired from the St. Boniface Hospital. A Celebration of Sharon’s Life will be held on Tuesday, June 27, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. in Wojcik’s Funeral Chapel, 1020 Main Street at Manitoba Avenue with a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate a donation to either the Diabetes Foundation or the Heart and Stroke Foundation in Sharon’s name.
