My heartfelt sorrow goes out to Mr. and Mrs. Evans and all the rest of Sharon's family and loved ones. For those of us she has left behind, we have our wonderful memories to cherish. While it has been many years since I left Winnipeg I often think about those early, simple days when we would take turns having 'sleep overs' and stay up all night talking about the cute boys in school. May God ease the pain we are all sharing and take care of our girl until we can all meet once again.

Sharon took on everyone's children at the WPA as her own by excitedly purchasing all the Christmas Party gifts for the annual event. In Sharon style she even convinced our daughter to be Santa's elf one year as a high school student! Sharon was the person who ensured everyone had a great time at WPA family events. A heart of gold was entrusted to Sharon and she shared it with all who came in her path. I remember our last conversation a few months ago and she was so at peace and gave me words of wisdom that ring in my head today. Our family will miss you......until God unites us again. You are a star peeking from heaven to watch over every life you've touched during your time on this earth.

I had the distinct privilege of getting to know Sharon through the Winnipeg Police Association. She was a hard working, extremely dedicated to her family, friends and co-workers. Sharon could always be counted upon to take on extra duties and spent many years on the the Christmas Party Committee. Sharon went on many Association conferences and always enjoyed a good laugh. She had a unique spirit and was a true friend to my wife Debbie and I. Our deepest condolences to her family.

I met Sharon back in 1991, she taught me the route as a Dispatch Information Clerk. Sharon had a heart of gold and I could talk to her about anything. I, along with many other co-workers have beautiful baby blankets, she made for our kids when they were born. Like many of the people I work with, I can't believe you are gone, it was a pleasure knowing you. My deepest condolences to Sharon's family.

First, my condolences to the family and friends. You lost a wonderful daughter, sister, aunt and friend. Sharon might be gone but the sound of her laugh will always be in my memories. I know she's up there making sure all the pets are taken care of. Save a dog walk for me Sharon. Hugs Debbie Briese

Sharon and I started working for the WPS around the same time. She was a feisty, outspoken girl, who also had a lovely, tender heart, especially towards animals. I will miss Sharon, and I am glad I had a chance to see her and have a couple of phone conversations with her earlier this year. Sincere condolences to Sharon's family. My heart knows what you're feeling.

August 1986, a lovely young lady arrived in B.C. on her first visit with us and a fun time at Expo '86. We were lucky to have other visits with Sharon. Missed will be the late night telephone chats. She will forever be in our thoughts. Love Aunt Eileen and Glenn Daly.

Sharon was a dear friend and co-worker. She had a laugh that was contagious. We shared many laughs but when needed she could be counted on to get the job done. We will miss you my dear friend. I know you are looking down on us and are now in peace. Just like at the end of the shift, I will have a wine spritzer for you and I know you will be doing the same. Take care. Until we meet again, I toast you, CHEERS!

I had the pleasure of spending time with Sharon because of the Association as we were both directors at the same time. Always full of joy. She had passion to help others who needed help. She always brought sunshine to everyone and was there when anyone needed her. She will be missed so very much.
