SHAYNE EDWIN RODE

With great sadness we announce the passing of Shayne on November 1st 2022.

Shayne was born September 15th 1979 in Winnipeg, MB. He is survived by his parents Shirley and Larry; his brothers Kris (Tammy) and Jeff; sisters Michelle (Marven), Nadine (Melvin), and Lesley (Shawn). Shayne loved his nieces Kala, Danielle and Jamie. He was predeceased by his brother Danny; nephew Anthony and niece Jenna.

Growing up Shayne loved skateboarding, snowboarding, dirt biking and playing guitar. He found his love for music at a young age and created his own garage band. As he grew older, he found his passion for snowmobiling and boating. Shayne was very creative, he had a passion for art, in his spare time he enjoyed drawing and building “spooky” birdhouses. He had a way of putting his own artistic touch on everything.

Shayne was employed by Canada Post for the last 14 years. He thoroughly enjoyed covering several suburban routes, it fit in with Shayne’s love for the outdoors.

Shayne had a great sense of humour and could make anyone laugh at the hardest of times. He always had some sort of story to tell or funny situations he was always getting himself into. Shayne touched a lot of lives and made friends with almost everyone he crossed paths with. He will be greatly missed by his family, as well as many, many friends he has made over the years.

The family acknowledges and supports the substantial effort of the Bruce Oake Recovery Centre and its foundation for embracing Shayne’s life.

There will be no service. A private family gathering will be planned for a later date.
