Sherril Irvine

October 24, 1968 - November 11, 2016

SHERRIL MARGARET IRVINE (nee REIMER)
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Sherril Irvine on Friday, November 11, 2016, at the age of 48 years.            Remaining to forever cherish Sherril’s memory are her beloved husband, Robert Irvine; children, Kyle, Hannah and Riley and most recently, four-footed Stewie. She was predeceased by her brother Alan and parents Mary and Neil.            Sherril was a woman of deep joy, faith and positivity. Her beautiful smile and hearty laugh characterized her life. She enjoyed many pastimes and loved cooking (including her famous noodle soup), fishing, camping and watching her kids’ activities.  Sherril made friends easily, her love of life was contagious and people immediately warmed to her. Within Sherril lived the spirit of an artist and she allowed this to thrive over the last year. She poured herself into her art, which she shared with family and friends.            An active volunteer, Sherril prepared meals for the St. James Seals Swim Club, Lutheran Urban Ministry and other church events. She was renowned for her excessive holiday baking.            A proud mom — Sherril’s three children were her pride and joy. Motherhood came naturally, she always had a hug and a cozy lap to crawl onto and no shortage of love.            Sherril maintained a positive attitude even throughout her final days and was an inspiration to everyone who knew her. She had a deep faith and through it, found strength.            On Saturday, November 19, 2016, Sherril’s Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. in St. Paul the Apostle Church, 2400 Portage Avenue, Winnipeg.            Special thanks to friends and family who have supported Sherril through the last 14 months. We would like to thank the staff of Cancer Care and Palliative Care at St. Boniface Hospital for their kindness and compassion throughout her final days.            Wojcik’s Funeral Chapels & Crematoriums, Winnipeg, 2157 Portage Avenue, 204.897.4665 www.wojciksfuneralchapel.com
