SIDNEY KOSHELANYK March 8, 1932- January 3, 2015 It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Sidney Koshelanyk. He passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Saturday, January 3, 2015 after a brief illness. Left to cherish Sidney’s memory are his sons, Tom (Sandi) and Gord (Darcie); daughter-in-law, Donna; grandchildren, Kristen (Brent), Stacy, Bryan and great-grandson, Damon. He was predeceased by his parents, William and Anne; wife, Connie and sons, Brian and William. Sidney was born in Caliento, Manitoba and attended Schevchenko School in Vita, before moving to Winnipeg in 1950 where he attended United College. In 1951 he began working for Winnipeg Supply where he would spend the next 23 years. In 1955 he met the love of his life Connie and they married and raised four sons. He was a devoted husband and father who was passionate about sports. He coached many of the boys’ teams in hockey and baseball and in 1975 he turned this love of sports into a career when he purchased Henry’s Skate Service and ran a thriving business until he retired in 1999. Please join family and friends for a celebration of Sidney’s life on Thursday, January 8, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Memories in Wojcik’s Funeral Chapel, 1020 Main Street @ Manitoba Avenue.
