SIMONNE MARIE DI GIOVANNI

(NEE PALLEN)

April 12, 1922 – April 30, 2024

Peacefully, with her daughter by her side, Simonne passed away on Tuesday, April 30, 2024 at the St. Boniface Hospital at the age of 102 years.

She is survived by her son Camile and grandson Dominick, daughter Vincenza and grandchildren Tina and Shawn, son Giuseppe, daughter Denise and grandchildren Ebony and Elias. Along with numerous great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins in Italy and Belgium.

Mom is predeceased by her husband Giuseppe, her brothers and sisters.

She was born in Belgium on April 12, 1922. She had migrated to Canada in May 1957 with two children and then in 1958 the family was complete. Mom had worked many years as a housekeeper at the St. Boniface hospital and made numerous friends along the way.

She had a funny sense of humour to light up a room and enjoyed knitting scarves and sweaters for family and friends.
