Tarlton was my godfather and he and Wilma were special friends of our family. Tarlton always welcomed us into his home when we visited Winnipeg and made us feel like we were part of the family. He spent many years in retirement down in Clearwater Florida with my parents - Ann and Clarence Caughlin. I can still remember his laugh and funny sense humour. He will be missed yet smiling down on his grandchildren.

Dear David, Kevin, Nadine and families:Our sincere and deepest sympathy to all of you. We were so saddened to hear this news of your Dad. He was a devoted and loving family man, and it was so evident how very proud he was of you and his grandchildren. We have many fond memories of Tarleton. As much as this is a sad and difficult time, there is indeed much to celebrate and special words to be shared for a lifetime that was full of many good times with family and friends; a life that was well lived by your Dad. Our prayers and love are with you today, and always.

Our thoughts turn to the Family on this day of the Celelebration of a life well lived! May you remember all the good times you shared with this much loved & gentle man. He was a special friend of our friend & sister-in-law, Lib. The times they shared together were treasured by both of them. Tarleton will be greatly missed by all his friends. He was a gentle & kind man!

Dear David, Kevin & Nadine and Families. So sorry to hear about Tarelton. Growing up I remember his warm smile, and great laugh and his FABULOUS piano playing! He will be missed by many but...his memory will always be in our hearts.

We only met twice, a mere blip in your life but I was impressed by your spirit and your laughter. I'm sorry we will never get to make happy music together.Rest in peace. You've been good to my friend, Lib. Thanks for that.

Jeff Shearer was my first Manager (Sargent and Erin Branch) when I joined TD Bank. Simply put, he was 'the best'. He left a profound and lasting impression, because of his patience, his guidance, his leadership and his sense of humour. In every sense, he was a gentle soul. I consider myself fortunate to have known him, and lucky to have worked with him.My thoughts are with the family that he has left behind. You have lost a rare and special individual!
