TERESA ZOLYNIAK
It is with deep sorrow and love that we mourn the passing of our beloved Teresa Zolyniak on June 20, 2022.
Teresa will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Maggie MacAulay (Vincent Andrisani) and her family in Poland, including brother Michal (Marysia) and her nieces and nephews, Magda, Anna, Jola, Janusz, Pawel (Ewelina) and Wojciech. She will also be dearly missed by her darling doggies Sadie and Rusty, whom she adored. Teresa was predeceased by her sister Zosia and parents Wladyslaw and Waleria (Turek).
Teresa was born May 6, 1952, in Lowce, Poland and earned an MSc in Chemistry from Maria Curie-Sklodowska University in Lublin before immigrating to Winnipeg, MB, in 1980. She was an exceptionally hard-working mother who began her career at RC 264 Main before joining Apotex as a biochemist and later working at Home Depot’s Garden department on Leila Ave. In 2010, she fulfilled a dream by building her Grindstone cottage home—one she meticulously maintained throughout the summer.
As a very caring person involved in Winnipeg’s Polish Canadian community, Teresa was constantly helping those around her to make their lives easier. She will be sorely missed by family and friends in Winnipeg, Grindstone, Ontario, and Poland.
As an expression of sympathy, donations can be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society or to the Winnipeg Food Bank.
