On the morning of Monday, October 19, 2015, Valey died at Deer Lodge Centre, at the age of 92 years.
Remaining to cherish Valey?s memory are her husband, William (Bill) Walker; sons, Len Walker and Brian Rupert (Val); daughter, Sharen Rupert-Brown; as well as several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by sons, Larry Rupert and Bobby Rupert; and seven siblings
On April 14, 1923, Valey was born in Traverse Bay, Manitoba, the eldest of the eleven children of the Late Peter Parisian and Mary (Thomas) Parisian. She was a wonderful cook and was employed as such in Manitoba, New Brunswick and Alberta. As the eldest child, Valey became adept at sewing, knitting, crafts and quilting. She took great pride in the successes of her family and looked forward to meeting everyone at family reunions.
Mass of the Resurrection will be held on Friday, October 23, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in Ste. Marguerite Roman Catholic Church, Pitt Road, Traverse Bay, Manitoba, with Rev. Fr. Maurice Jeanneau, presiding. Interment will follow in the Parish cemetery.
The family wishes to thank the staff of Tower 7, Deer Lodge Centre, for their dedication and compassion.
