I have just heard of Uncle Vernon's passing and I was saddened to hear the news. I grew up in Winnipeg and remember fond times of being at Auntie Myrtha and Uncle Vernon's (called them aunt and uncle even if they were distant cousins). I remember how I loved to play with their dog and have homemade baked goods fresh from the oven. Now that I've grown and moved out west and started my own family, the Hulmes' were very generous in sending my special needs daughter a little something for Christmas each year. I wish the family all the love and support and hold them all in my prayers.God Bless.Leyanne, Simon and daughter Sophie Philp

I was saddened to hear of Vern's passing. I know I can speak of my co-workers when I say that Tim's will be a lot quieter and more boring without Vern to spice up our days (and give us a hard time). I am proud to be able to say that I knew Vern. All of us who were privileged to have met Vern shall miss him. My heart goes out to Vern's family, especially Mirtha. May God wrap His arms around you and Keep you safe now, this day and always. Rest in peace, my friend.
