VICTOR CHARLES KELBERT

Victor Charles Kelbert of Winnipeg passed away at age 86 on Friday, May 25, 2018.

He will be dearly missed by his wife Helen; son Bruce (Colleen); daughter Gwendolyn (Darrell) and his five grandchildren; brothers Donald, Henry, and Wilfred (Linda); sisters Dorothy, Geraldine, and Elaine (Wayne); nieces, nephews and friends. Victor was predeceased by his parents John and Olga; brothers Arthur, Clarence, Edward, and Allen.

Victor was born April 6, 1932 and grew up in St. Owens on the family dairy farm. He accepted Jesus as his savior in his teens. He was active in his local church and took delight in sharing time with others at the various events and celebrations. He enjoyed his motor home and travelled across Canada and the US with his family, gospel festivals were a highlight. He worked at Winnipeg Hydro since 1967 starting first at Point du Bois and then Winnipeg until his retirement in 1992. Victor loved puzzles and crosswords and getting out on his scooter and travelling for hours. He celebrated birthdays and anniversaries with family and friends and cherished those times together.

On June 4, 2018, Victor’s Funeral Service will be held 10:30 a.m. in My Church Winnipeg, 955 Wilkes Avenue. For those who wish viewing will be held prior to service. Donations may be made to the Home of the Good Shepherd in Brazil (www.hgsbrazil.org).
