The Walt-Man and I worked together for a few years and spent a few overnight shifts at the hotel sharing philosophies. Yes, he always had an opinion and looked at the world through a different set of eyes than most people I knew, and that's what I liked about him. He was a student and a teacher. Our paths would cross from time to time on the bus, on the way to work and when we did he always asked about my family and I, about his. He was so proud of his kids. My condolences to his family and the lady in his life. When I heard of Walt's passing it saddened me of course although the very first thing I heard echo in my mind was the words he said he'd sing on top of his lungs all the way out the door of that job he disliked so much, 'Free at last, free at last. Oh good God, I'm free at last.' That you are Walt-Man. Enjoy sharing your wisdom, we'll miss it down here.

I only had the pleasure of meeting Walter on a few occasions. While I did not know him well, I do know he was a wonderful man as he loved my cousin Jody and made her happy. RIP Walter and thank you for bringing love and joy to Jody's life.

I worked with Walter for 3+ years. He was always a great person to be around. He always keep a positive attitude. My boyfriend makes fudge and Walter had bought some of my fudge. He told me he had to have a piece before he got home as Jody would eat it all and then he would laugh and say he bought it for her. He will be sadly missed.. RIP my friend walter....

Condolences on your loss. I have fond memories of working with Walter many years ago. Much more then a co-worker, Walter was always a caring friend who could make you laugh even when you were frustrated. He will be missed. I am sorry I lost contact with him along time ago only to find he is gone.
