My sincere condolences to the family. When my Mom told me the news, I felt so sad for your loss. I have many fond memories of the Dugray family from my childhood. We lived on the same street, just a block apart. My two elder brothers hung out with Wayne during their school years and for many years afterwards, that's how I met the younger Dugey, Blair. We got to know each other during junior high school years, had a lot of fun and good times together, building forts in the back yard, playing football, Bomber games, riding our bikes from/to Fort Rouge and E.K. on summer weekends, swimming at the Pan-Am pool, and many more activities...I remember that Wayne was a caring brother and a really funny guy, even when he was chasing after us LoL!...Wayne will be sadly missed...Rest in Peace. Love and prayers to the Dugray family.

Wayne lived on the same street as me in East Kildonan when we were just kids - maybe from the ages 6 - 10 years old. A small bunch of us hung out, played hide and seek -formed a club in someone's dusty hot garage, he might have even joined us when we raided a few gardens.I haven't seen him in all those years but I saw the obituary and felt very sad. I remember him as a very sweet, quiet young boy. It brought me back to our childhood and made me stop and think about simpler, happier times. His dad was a truck driver and all us kids knew when his dad was in town becuase the big semi was parked on the street. It is wonderful that he married someone who loved him so much and I hope he found happiness through that.

My Dearest husband Wayne overcame so many obstacles then was taken too soon. We met in Vancouver and it was love at first sight. We loved each other deeply and I was so happy to have such a marvelous, caring husband. He would come home after work and I would see him parking the big truck and my heart would soar. Even in the cold of winter he would be working hard driving the truck. It seems so strange for Wayne not to be among us still. I will talk with you in my prayers, Wayne. I love you.

My deepest condolences to Wayne's family. Wayne was one of the most fun guys ever. Always had a smile and good things to say.We used to live accross the hall from each other in an apt. and it was always fun to be able to just run over to chat and have a laugh. He will be greatly missed. It's nice to have so many special memories to behold. Rest in Peace my friend.

To Blair, Cheryl & all of Wayne’s family,My most sincere & heartfelt sympathy to all of you. I was so saddened to hear of Wayne’s passing. I cannot believe he has left this earth at such a young age. When I met Wayne in Wpg. (1977) he had just accepted a new job in Vancouver. Simply stated, we dated; I moved to Vancouver a year later & returned in 1980. Our engagement did not work out & we parted ways. We did see each other occasionally over the years because “Mother” was one of my best friends & we stayed in touch. She was a huge support to me when my Mom passed & she & Aunty Mary came to be with me at my Mom’s Memorial Service. I was devastated the last time I called her & she did not seem to know who I was. Mother always told me when I inquired about how Wayne was doing. The last time I spoke to Wayne was when Mother passed & I know how very difficult losing her was for him. Wayne was a kind, caring & genuine person. I am mourning the loss of Wayne & as strange as it sounds I am thankful that he touched my life & through him I was welcomed into the lives & hearts of his family (Mother, Father, his Sister Glenda (who was like a sister to me), you Blair, Aunty Mary, Aunty Birdie, Uncle Don & Tara) to name a few, & into the lives and hearts of his friends (Barb, Garry, Walter & Ed). Our friendships spanned the years & withstood the test of time & distance. The last time I saw Wayne, he, Walter, a girlfriend of mine & I attended a Rolling Stones Concert together. We met at Mother’s for a visit before the concert. We had a wonderful time & that is how I will always remember him. He so enjoyed the concert. Blair, we often spoke of you & Wayne knew you were a wonderful brother to him & you were a very important part of his life. I know you will miss him. I am so sorry that I cannot attend Wayne’s Service. I will be with all of you in thought & prayer. Cherish & treasure your memories. Please take care of each other. With my deepest sympathy & in friendship,Maggie
