WAYNE R. ARCHER
1940 – 2025

Reunited with his best friend and love of his life, his wife of 54 years, Elizabeth, on Saturday, 12 July 2025, at the age of 84.

Wayne was the eldest of three sons born to Flora and Russell Archer of Dauphin, Manitoba. At 15 he left the family farm, following his father’s wishes, and joined the Government of Canada’s, Prairie Farm Rehabilitation Administration (PFRA) where he worked until retirement. His career took he and his wife to British Columbia and throughout Manitoba, creating many fond memories.

He enjoyed home-cooked meals with family, friends, and coworkers. His talents as a carpenter, electrician, welder, and mechanic meant he was always busy building projects for himself and others. He was always willing to lend a helping hand. Wayne enjoyed country music and new automobiles, especially Ford trucks. In his later years he developed a passion for John Deere tractors, any mention of them would bring a twinkle to his eye.

Wayne’s favourite winter pastime was men’s curling, as both a participant and a spectator. He was formally recognized for his lifetime of blood donation to the Red Cross.
