Ewan and I worked together at XEROX in the 1970's. He was a real character and had a wonderful sense of humour. My family enjoyed many fun times at the Watt family cottage at Lester Beach during this time. my sincere condolences to Joyce and family

Dear Mary and Ewan's family, I was saddened to read of Ewan's passing in today's Free Press. The lovingly crafted obit left no doubt in my mind he was your brother. I extend my condolences to you, your niece and nephew and their families. Not sure if you'll remember me, Mary, but I have often thought of you over the years since our visit upon your return from a year in the Orkneys (1967). It prompted me to return to school, intending to become a 'commercial teacher' as you were then. Instead, I went on to university, moved away for many years, but at last came home to stay in 1982. I was married for 30 years until my husband died in 2015. I live in the West End now (Daniel Mac neighbourhood), in a house John and I bought in 1996. I hope you're well. We've come a long way from the early 1960's at Training Command Headquarters and our first foray into the workforce! It would be lovely to see you again after all these years. I hope you'll be in touch, either by email (Wojcik's have my address) or by phone at 204-772-4488. Be well, old friend. Sincerely, Jeannine Dumaine
