Obituaries

Bill Brooks was among the liveliest and most engaging professors I ever had. He inspired me to think that the life of a scholar and teacher was worthwhile, and although that was not my career in the end, I did pursue the study of history as a graduate student at Oxford with him as one of my role models. I am sure he enlivened the lives and studies of many students over the years. RIP
