I was saddened to hear of the passing of Bill Alexander. He was a respected colleague and friend to my late father, Percy Plummer, who worked as Lead Hand and Acting Foreman in the accessory shop at Trans-Canada Airlines, overhauling many of the electrical components for the Vickers Viscount. My father, who passed away in 1982, always spoke very highly of Bill’s skill, dedication, and steady leadership. Later, during my own years with Purchasing and Stores at TCA, I too had the privilege of getting to know Bill personally. His professionalism and kindness left a lasting impression on me, and I will always remember the mutual respect he shared with those he worked alongside. Bill Alexander will be fondly remembered as part of that generation of men and women whose hard work and pride in their craft helped shape the airline we know today. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and loved ones at this time. With respect and sympathy, Morley Plummer

I have many fond memories of Christmas at Uncle Bills and Aunty Joyce my favorite memory was the Root Beer Floats that Uncle Bill made for me and especially the 2nd one, don`t tell Pop. Also the Winter snowmobiling and Ice Fishing at their cottage. I can remember going fishing in the summer both Dad and Uncle Bill would take their boats to the Lake and we would go from one lake to another for the day trying to catch fish, on occasion we would even catch some fish. Every year they had garage sales to raise money for the horticultural society. Uncle Bill was a very loud person you knew he was in the room, likely because of hearing loss which he denied just like his brother. He loved to be the social butterfly and was involved in many different things such as Bee Keeping with his brother Ron and their Dad Harry until Uncle Bill got stung too many times and they had to retire from Bee Keeping. Teaching kids how to play the flute because they were in the Junior Orange Band and belonged to the Orange association. Gardening, fishing and hunting with the Agassiz outdoor club (he trained Gunnar the family dog to retrieve ducks) . He even started a small business after he retired with Bill Roman called the RinkyDink Construction - No job is too odd. (We still have his card), Uncle Bill and Aunty Joyce did get to Ireland for a visit to see the relatives and see where his Dad came from. Aunty Joyce is a very special lady and was usually involved in some of his adventures especially the horticulture and gardening. Our hearts go out to Joyce, Donna and Terry, Arden and Ron, Billy and Elaine and families you had a very special Dad and you have lots of memories to share and keep. Dave & Kathy
