I, too felt it was an honour to have worked with one of the 'old' guard of reporters that worked at the CBC back then. He was someone I always saw as a friend and someone that I will always miss. He was a good man that will truly be missed. My sincere condolences to his family!

It was always a delight to come to work in the morning knowing Bill was already there and had ably mapped out our day. A fine journalist who made a significant contribution to Winnipeg. He was full of joy and humor. He's on that party barge in the sky.

We are so very sad to hear the news of Bill`s passing. Bill had a hard to match passion for the lake which was so very evident. He taught us a lot about the area and was always reliable and there to help out if you needed a hand - which we sure did when we arrived on Macara Lake. Bill always greeted you with a friendlysmile and a warm handshake. Our hearts and prayers are with you Gina and the family. May wonderful memories help you and your family during this difficult time.

A kinder and gentler soul you could never meet. Bill was truly loved by many, and he will be sorely missed. He was one of those rare individuals that you sought out at events to catch up with. Whether you had seen him a week or a year prior, he always made the time for you and made the world a brighter place. Our deepest condolences to all of Bill's loved ones at their loss - we are honored to have been counted among them.

Bill was another of the really good people that I was lucky to know at CBC. I was delighted when he and Gina became a couple. I had known Gina for a long time and was happy when the two found each other. To Gina and the family and friends, please take some comfort in knowing how many of us share your grief.

We were shocked and deeply saddened by the news of Bill's death. Our condolences to Gina and all of Bill's family, including his 'extended family' at the lake. He will be sorely missed by so many, but we're sure that our brother and he will be sharing many good memories when Donald greets Bill at the pearly gates.
