There is a lot here I never knew about Bill even after well over 30 years. Bill was my greatest influence in my Hydro career, he was indeed a man to look up to, a mentor, a teacher, one always willing to take the time to answer my questions. I would not have made it through even one year of my 35 without his guidance, tolerance and mentorship. From the bottom of my heart, Thank You, Bill!

Just got to hear today...so sorry for your loss...my first memory of Bill is walking up to the cabin and seeing the potato and vegetable garden...could not imagine that you could do that at Cross Bay. Will always remember your hospitality. Take care and God bless.

You will be sadly missed by all. You were the best 'Uncle Billy' a kid could have. I have many fond memories of you & our conversations. I always looked up to you and admired you. You truly were an amazing person. I just feel sad that your time was cut short on this earth. I have hope & faith that our paths will cross once again in another time & space. Until then my friend, rest in peace.

This was a very beautifully written piece!Points I liked was even though it was about Bill...Time was taken to mention my father Hermann and others as their paths crossed. I'm just proud to have had him as my godfather and the moments we spent togeather that now seem too few. I even helped him with some of the early stages building of his cabin. As a friend of mine always wrote...Fair winds and smooth sailing
