I saddened to hear of the passing of Mrs. Brauer, I remember her playing match maker with students and books, I truly believe this is what made her tick. She loved seeing people enjoy good books. I was fortunate to have her as a teacher. My love of reading has carried on in part because of her. God Bless you Mrs. Brauer and may you rest in peace.

My Mom, Dona Armstrong, was so sorry to hear of the passing of her good friend Ann. Dona joined Christ Church in Edmonton at the same time that Ann did. Dona really enjoyed getting to know Ann over the years, and she phoned Ann almost everyday in Winnipeg. I was lucky to meet Ann several times when I visited my Mom. Ann was a very lovely, kind person. Sincere condolences to the family.

Mrs. Brauer taught several of my English classes at CASS. She was kind to her students, and she took the time to understand them. I will always be grateful to her for encouraging my interest in writing at that time. My sincere condolences to all her family. She will be remembered fondly.

Tom, My heart goes out to you and your family, and I am so glad that you were able to be at her side during this time of quarantine. My memories of your mom are both in and out of the classroom and most of them are of her smiling. I say 'most of them', because we weren't always as attentive in class as we should have been! I remember her as being generous and kind and as having a love of books she liked to share. She also taught me a lesson or two in feminism, which I didn't understand at the time, but which absolutely came home to roost as I grew up. Take care, all of you. Crystal

Mrs. Brauer was my English teacher at CASS in grades 11, 12 and 13. She introduced me to the world of fine literature with her vast knowledge and enthusiastic teaching. I have thought of Mrs. Brauer and her work continuously over the years. Following in her footsteps, I became a high school English teacher. You are remembered fondly by your former students.

Oh Thom and Chris an families, my deepest sympathy on your loss. Your mom holds a special place in my memories, not just as a teacher but as someone who helped foster my love of theatre and reading, and expanded my thinking on many topics. As I still work with community theatre, many of the lessons she taught are still relevant now, and I think of her often. Deepest condolences from my family to yours. Cheryl
